President Obama had his first cabinet meeting today in Washington. The main topic of discussion was cutting spending in government programs. Sounds good right? not so fast. Obama is looking for $100 million in cuts, Saying departments have 90 days to report to him with their savings.
Yay, Obama is cutting some spending!!! The problem is, Is that is nowhere near enough to even make a tiny little ding in the amount of unprecedented nonexistent money Obama is spending.
The Department of Veteran Affairs cancelled or delayed 26 conferences saving nearly $17.8 million, Using video conferencing which is a little cheaper. The Department of Agriculture will try to combine 1,500 employees in seven different locations into one location in 2011, Potentially saving $62 million over a 15 year lease. The Department of Homeland Security (Big Dumb Janet Nepolitano) Says it can save $52 million over 5 Years by purchasing office supplies in bulk.
After doing the math, I believe we are at $131.8 million. That folks is nothing compared to the outrageous amount of money that Obama is spending.
$780 billion for the stimulus bill. $410 billion for the Omnibus bill. $4 trillion for Obama's new budget in 2010. Doing the math? I believe we are at $5.2 trillion! now that's without interest!
with interest by about 2019 it will be $9.6 trillion, which is really $10 trillion.
And this guy wants to be told now that he is doing a good job by cutting wasteful spending.
This $131.8 million is an insult to all Americans intelligence! Obama doesn't think we are going to catch on. why? Because he thinks hes smarter than all of us! Its the old $9.99 instead of an even $10.00! only opposite. 131 is a much bigger number than 5. And that's how he thinks. Hes pulling the wool over your eyes with a good marketing strategy.
Say the word "Trillion". "Tri-lli-on". That's insane! Hes spending Trillions and using mind games to make it sound OK.
So much for a different type of politician. So much for his speech were he said "WE cant go on borrowing and spending". It is clear that Obama is the worst kind of liar there is. The kind that thinks you're to stupid to know hes lying. Anyone have a word for that? ;).
So, While 131 is a bigger number than 5, I think most Americans know that the part that really matters is the million, billion, or trillion that come after them.
Go ahead, Keep going thinking your smarter than all of us!
But let me tell you this Mr. President, There are MILLIONS of us out there that know
that your $131 million, Along with all of your lies and policies are nothing more than
Chump "Change".
