Imperial Presidency

An Imperial Presidency.
CEO Rick Wagner, of GM was asked (told) by the white house (Barack Obama) to resign. And he did so. Well, That's what you get for nationalizing the company. In a speech today Barack Obama said, "the government has no interest in running GM". But then you fire Rick Wagner? I believe that's "running" the company. Or ruining it! I will speak more on that at another time.
Today's blog is on an Imperial Presidency. Something George W. Bush was accused of. Because of the "Patriot act" as well as other ridiculous accusations. (And i disagreed with Bush alot).
What we have now is a true Imperial presidency.
From the Executive to the Legislative, And the Treasury!
A while back, A very good friend of mine and I were having a conversation. It was about two months before the election. He is an old friend. And he is a die hard Obama supporter.
We were discussing different policies the candidate's were running on, and of course he regurgitated the slogan's and mantra, "the last 8 yrs", "we need change" and all the other bumper sticker trash. Anyway, our conversation somehow ended up on the topic of favorite movies (you know how conversations jump around when you're out for dinner and drinks.).
So the movie we were talking about was "V for Vendetta", A movie we both loved.
My friend went on to say "I'm surprised you like Bush and that movie, That movie is like bush's presidency.". I disagree, Wholeheartedly!
This is the Imperial Presidency! Every single step Obama takes is towards grabbing more power. I mentioned in a comment on my page about the "Civilian National Security Force" that Obama says we need. If you remember during the campaign, Obama said "We can't just rely on our military, We need a civilian force that is just as strong, and just as well funded!"
Of course no one in the media paid any attention to that. And so neither did any of the drones!
It reminds me of "V for Vendetta"! Where the President (prime minister in the movie) has total power. And has Military and civilian forces enforcing his rules. It is authoritarianism. Curfew's, spy's around every corner (like The old U.S.S.R. or East Germany). Frightening!
That's what I think of, when it comes to Obama and his "civilian National Security Force"!
I think KGB! And how could I not?
What the hell does Barack Obama know about running an auto giant like GM?
What the hell does Barack Obama Know about running ANY company? Or ANY private sector job for that matter? He's never had one!
In case you didn't know, Rabble Rouser isn't a real job! Sorry Just had to throw that in there. It makes me crazy!
Do you really want to know how I would define someone like Barack Obama? I'll need a few words.

And to really go there, A Megalomaniac!
Yup! Consumed by his own greatness!
So I thought that the comparison would be right on, "V for Vendetta", And Obama's presidency.
